Do they use Jehovah's name repeatedly because it's their name?
by WalkTall ini was thinking when reading another thread where it was mentioned how god's name was never used in the nt, but how often it is uttered in khs that it is used so often, not because we need to use his name, but because it is the name associated with their organization.
it is their name really.
could that be why it's used so often?.

I wonder if you might be confusing me with someone far nicer than I am. Unless we've had transactions under different names, I have no recollection of having offered to make you signs for any purpose. That doesn't mean it didn't happen; I forget a lot of things now, and some of the things I recall vividly never happened. I do tend to be sympathetic about XJW child cusody issues.
All of my friends, followers and acolytes - of which there are NONE - are trained to deny the many miracles, spontaneous healings and Watchtower Upheavals that I have been responsible for. Then again, maybe they didn't happen either, which would explain the denials, wouldn't it?
I probably hold no ill will against you, but Rick is a friend (right, Rick? [Remember, Rick, you are under oath.]) and I didn't enjoy seeing his efforts demeaned because they didn't meet your standards, PC/Tim. If I was Frank about it - and Frank is not my real name - maybe I wouldn't have done some of the things Rick has done. Things like start the most sucessful, longest-running, most diverse XJW teleconference website ever, even if it has had an occasional wart or zit or closeted Bin-Ladenite in the wings.
In an ideal world we would all realize that we each are doing the best we can in the way we think is best. Even me and even you.

one of my daughters is involved with them, and will be baptized soon.. anyway, it's my anniversary, 43 years today, (may 11), and my j.w.
daughter calls me and wishes me a "happy anniversary", then invites my wife and i out on sunday to "celebrate" it.

Sex at 14?

we laboured over telling his jw dad all week.
well, on friday night he finally came clean.. but in a bizarre and unexpected twist, after having sex with his girlfriend for the very first time - in his father's home that very afternoon.

If it wasn't for people having sex at 14, many of us wouldn't have had great-great grandparents.
At 14 he is physically capable of successful procreation. He's probably NOT capable of providing for a new family though - our great-great grandparents had the benefits of larger family circles way back in the day. Of course, he could take his pretty young thing up into one of the hollas near Harlan and settle down...

they said that print versions could still be bought from booksellers such as amazon.
